La Liga Tips & Predictions
La Liga is the home of huge football clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, who boast world-class players such as Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior and Gavi. It’s also home to lesser-known teams such as Getafe, Girona and Elche.
So keep up-to-date with all things Spanish football and give your bets the best chance of winning by reading our La Liga tips and predictions, with preview articles published on betting.com every single day.

La Liga Odds
La Liga odds are calculated on the probability of something happening.
For example, the odds of Real Madrid winning La Liga are much shorter than the odds of Elche. That’s because the probability of Real Madrid winning La Liga is much higher.
If Real Madrid win La Liga after you placed a £10 bet on them to do so at 11/10, you would win £11. But if Elche win La Liga after you placed a £10 bet on them to do so at 750/1, you would win £7,500.
La Liga odds for individual games are often short, especially if you’re betting on Real Madrid or Barcelona, so a clever way of increasing the odds is through accumulator betting.
More commonly referred to as an ‘acca’, accumulator betting is when you bet on two or more La Liga games – betting on five teams is known as a ‘five-fold’ – but combine them into one bet. Betting.com has the acca bet calculator to help take out all the manual calculations for you.
Because the odds are multiplied, you’ll win an enhanced amount if all the selections in your acca are correct.

La Liga 2022/23 Overview
The La Liga 2022/23 season will be played from Sunday 14th August 2022 to Sunday 4th June 2023. There will be a six-week break in November to allow the 2022 World Cup to be played, with La Liga fixtures resuming on Thursday 29th December.
As usual, La Liga will be made up of 20 teams, with each team playing the other 19 teams at home and away for a grand total of 38 games.
Real Madrid are pre-season favourites to win La Liga, having done so last season under Carlo Ancelotti, alongside their triumph in the Champions League. Barcelona are second favourites, following significant improvement since former player Xavi Hernandez returned to the club as manager last November.
Atletico Madrid, who won the title in 2020/21, are third favourites, followed by Sevilla and Villarreal in fourth and fifth. At the other end of the table, Elche, Mallorca, Valladolid, Almeria and Cadiz are expected to battle it out to avoid relegation, according to the latest pre-season odds.
No longer in the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who have since moved elsewhere, Karim Benzema is poised to once again finish as the top goalscorer in La Liga. Benzema claimed last season’s golden boot after scoring 27 times – nine more than any other player.
