Betfred odds offers
As mentioned earlier Betfred have a good range of sports and markets. However, as with any sportsbook, the most important factor is the quality of odds offered. Betfred’s sportsbook consistently offer fair and competitive odds. Looking at a number of sports and individual bets we can see that while Betfred’s odds are not right up there with the most attractive available they are undoubtedly fair and, overall are good value. Odds can be displayed as fractions, decimals or American.
I looked at three football matches, from the Premier League and the Championship in England, and from Serie A in Italy. Their payout margins averaged at 92.6%. For the same three matches Betway offered 94% and bet365 94.2%.
For Rugby Union I looked at the second round of fixtures in the 2023 Six Nations Championship. Betfred compared well with other top bookmakers with their payout margin of 93% across the three fixtures.
For horse racing I selected the 19:45 at Chelmsford City on a Friday evening meeting. In a seven horse race, Betfred’s payout margin was 85.3%.

Cash out

Variety of markets
Betfred have a good range of sports and markets. The bookie is developing the depth of its markets, such as player props, and its depth in terms of the variety offered in less mainstream sports.
Bet builder
Betfred’s Bet Builder is in the form of #PickYourPunt, a feature that combines bet building with bet customisation. Customers can “build” their own bets, combining a range of markets to create their own unique wager. Alternatively, you can bet on Pick Your Punt markets already available on the site. This combines a number of selections at different odds and then gives one price that you can back ahead of the event. For example for Crystal Palace v Manchester United in the Premier League, we combined the match result, both teams to score and a player to be yellow carded. For Manchester United to win, both teams to score and Cheick Doucoure to receive a yellow card we were offered 17/2.

How easy do I find to use Betfred’s site?
Firstly, I looked at how to register an account, along with the welcome bonus, terms and conditions. I then went through the registration and verification process before shifting my focus to the range of sports available. I looked into a selection of sports, and different leagues and betting markets within them before looking at specific bets. For this I focussed on football, rugby union and horse racing.
