Bundesliga Betting – Everything You Need to Know
The Bundesliga is one of the strongest football leagues in the world, with many of today’s leading players and managers playing there during their careers.
Home of gegenpressing and “heavy metal football”, one thing is for sure: whether the game is a fight to win the title or avoid relegation, Bundesliga betting is often as exciting and thrilling as the football itself.
There are two types of betting for Bundesliga games:
- Match
- Outright
Match Betting
Match betting covers everything you can bet on during a game, with bets placed either pre-match (before the game kicks off) or in-play (once the game has kicked off).
There are literally hundreds of match betting markets for every single Bundesliga game, with some of the most popular ones including:
- Win/Draw/Win
- Both Teams To Score
- Correct Score
- Over/Under Total Goals
- First Goalscorer
- Anytime Goalscorer
Outright Betting
Outright betting covers everything that will happen over the course of the season, with some of the most popular ones including:
- Outright Winner
- To Finish In The Top Four
- To Be Relegated
- Player Top Goalscorer

Bundesliga Odds
Bundesliga odds are calculated on the probability of something happening.
For example, the odds of Borussia Dortmund winning the Bundesliga are much shorter than the odds of Augsburg. That’s because the probability of Borussia Dortmund winning the Bundesliga is much higher.
If Borussia Dortmund win the Bundesliga after you placed a £10 on them to do so at 8/1, you would win £80. But if Augsburg win the Bundesliga after you placed a £10 bet on them to do so at 1,000/1, you would win £10,000.
Bundesliga odds for individual games are often short, especially if you’re betting on Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund, so a smart way of increasing them is through accumulator betting.
More commonly referred to as an ‘acca’, accumulator betting is when you bet on two or more Bundesliga games – betting on five teams is known as a ‘five-fold’ – but combine them into one bet. Head over to Betting.com’s free acca bet calculator to calculate your bet fast.

Bundesliga 2022/23 Overview
The Bundesliga 2022/23 season will be played from Friday 5th August 2022 to Saturday 25th May 2023. There will be a two-month break in November to allow the 2022 World Cup to be played, with Bundesliga fixtures resuming on Friday 20th January.
As usual, the Bundesliga will be made up of 18 teams, with each team playing the other 19 teams at home and away for a grand total of 34 games.
Bayern Munich are odds-on favourites to win the Bundesliga, having done so for the last 10 years in succession. Last season they became the first team from European football’s big leagues to win 10 titles in a row, and their chances of making it 11 have increased with the signing of Liverpool forward Sadio Mane. Borussia Dortmund are second favourites, despite losing Erling Haaland to Manchester City, with RB Leipzig third in the betting.
Schalke and Werder Bremen, two huge clubs with proud traditions, were promoted from Bundesliga 2. They are expected to face a battle to avoid relegation, according to the latest odds, along with Augsburg and Bochum.
