Liverpool hold of spirited Fulham comeback
Liverpool secured their place in the EFL Cup final after a draw with Fulham, setting the stage for a showdown with Chelsea at Wembley on February 25. Luis Diaz gave Liverpool an early lead, but Issa Diop equalised for Fulham. Despite Fulham’s attempts to find a second goal, Liverpool held on to their overall advantage.
Chelsea also booked their spot in the final with an impressive 6-1 win over Middlesbrough in the semi-finals, overturning a 1-0 deficit from the first leg. Both Liverpool and Chelsea will now eagerly anticipate the EFL Cup final, with both teams also participating in FA Cup fourth-round matches over the weekend.
