Foden hat-trick bags win for City as title odds cut

Manchester City’s title odds have been cut to the lowest they have been since the end of November following the win over Brentford on Monday evening. Pep Guardiola’s side fell behind, however, a hat-trick from Phil Foden saw them come through to take the three points.

The victory brought the Citizens to within two points of league leaders Liverpool, with a game in hand. Liverpool lost to Arsenal on Sunday at the Emirates. A result which keeps the Gunners in the title race.

At odds of 1/2 with bet365, bookies are giving Man City an implied chance of 61.9% to lift the Premier League title for a record fourth season in a row.

Since losing to Aston Villa on December 6th, City have won 11 out of their 12 matches in all competitions and drew the other.

The bookie has Liverpool as the second favourites for the Premier League title at odds of 9/4, followed by Arsenal at 13/2. Aston Villa, who are currently five points behind Liverpool, can be backed at 66/1 for a surprise Premier League win.
