After a three-year absence from the Octagon, Conor McGregor is set to make his highly anticipated return at UFC 303 on June 29 in Las Vegas. McGregor will face off against Michael Chandler in a welterweight bout, marking his first fight since his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier ended due to a leg injury.

McGregor’s MMA career boasts 22 wins and six defeats. Meanwhile, Chandler has competed in 31 bouts, securing 23 wins and suffering eight losses.

The confirmation of this bout followed UFC 300 in Las Vegas, with the fight scheduled for five rounds as part of International Fight Week.

During the UFC 300 press conference, UFC CEO Dana White explained the timing behind the matchup. He mentioned that while Chandler has been ready, McGregor had prior obligations to address. White emphasised the importance of McGregor being fully prepared for the fight and highlighted McGregor’s commitment to the UFC, describing him as a great partner who is dedicated to the sport.
