Martinez injury blow
Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez will be sidelined until at least April due to knee ligament damage sustained during the match against West Ham United. Fortunately, he won’t need surgery for his injury, but the recovery process is estimated to take around eight weeks.
This setback comes after Martinez had just returned to play after a foot injury that kept him out for more than three months. His absence will be felt by the team, especially considering he was just getting back into form after his previous injury struggles.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag expressed his disappointment, describing Martinez’s injury as a “personal disaster” for the player. Martinez has had a challenging run with injuries, having missed significant portions of previous seasons due to a fractured metatarsal.

Betting Implications
Martinez will be missing until April, and has only just returned from a long lay off. He has arguably been a big miss for the Red Devils this season, Bettors will need to assess how his absence will affect Man United in terms of individual matches and in terms of their attempt to have a serious crack at the FA Cup and climb the Premier League table.
