Canelo Alvarez
On the same weekend in 2022 Alverez lost to Dmitry Bivol when stepping up to challenge at light-heavyweight. A return to 168lbs has brought three wins since then, with points wins over Gennady Golovkin, John Ryder and Jermell Charlo.
Alvarez’s record stands at 60-2-2. His WBO, WBC, WBA and IBF belts will be on the line this weekend.
Jaime Munguia
Munguia, 27, boasts an unbeaten 43-0 record and is now aiming to see off the star of the super-middleweight division. He last fight was in January, when he came up against one of Canelo’s recent opponents, Ryder and stopping the Briton in the ninth round for his 34th victory inside the distance. It was only Munguia’s second fight at 168lbs.
