England and Belgium clash at Wembley
England and Belgium, two sides with realistic hopes of performing well at Euro 2024 clash at Wembley in a match which could prove useful as both teams work towards the Summer.
England
England have lost Kyle Walker to a hamstring problem picked up in the defeat to Brazil on Saturday. Harry Maguire, goalkeeper Sam Johnstone have also withdrawn from the squad with injuries. Rico Lewis and James Trafford have been called up to the senior squad to replace them. Captain Harry Kane (ankle) is ruled out, while Cole Palmer and Jordan Henderson are doubtful.
Belgium
Romelu Lukaku should be fit to face England after missing out against Ireland. Kevin De Bruyne is ruled out though. Koen Casteels (shoulder) also looks likely to be unavailable. However, Belgium have strength in depth, especially in the forward positions. Jeremy Doku and Dodi Lukebakio look set to be given the opportunity to stake a claim for a regular starting place.
Prediction
While Belgium have a few injury concerns, England are missing more key players than their opponents. We expect a tight game and the spoils could well be shared. Looking at the odds, this could provide good value. England are rated as favourites, however, without several important players the match up becomes more equal, even allowing for home advantage. England have good players in reserve, but Belgium are a still a quality team. We predict a draw.
