San Francisco 49ers: The Pedigree

The 49ers are making their 8th Super Bowl appearance, a testament to that franchise’s pedigree. They arrive at this moment seeking vindication, with memories of Super Bowl LIV, when the Chiefs ran their behinds for all they got, lingering in their minds. This time around, their offense is healthy and has been nothing short of spectacular, ranking second in the league with 28.9 points per game and boasting ten 30+ point games, including the playoffs.

At the heart of their offense is CMC, Christian McCaffrey (-210 Anytime TD), the league’s leading rusher with 14 touchdowns and a busy 5.4 yards per carry. The 49ers’ not-so-secret recipe is simple: when CMC rushes for 75+ yards, the team’s record sparkles at 12-1. His conference championship performance, where he tore up the Ravens’ defense for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns. I can’t think of the last non-QB player to make this big of an impact, this consistently, for this long. The offense runs through him, and he runs through defenses and personally, I’m shopping CMC (+340 First TD Scorer).

Brock Purdy’s is the story of the underdog (and no, not Snoop Dogg’s Underdoggs, but relevant, and good movie) 2022’s Mr. Irrelevant is now the lowest-drafted QB to start a Super Bowl, with only two undrafted quarterbacks having ever made it this far. –now granted, two undrafted QBs have, but don’t ruin this year’s narrative– While he’s been questioned as the 49ers’ liability, his blitz rating of 132.3 — leading the league — speaks to his ability to maintain elite-level composure and “manage” a whole lot of games to victory. Some may argue, “Well, he’s throwing to CMC, Brandon Aiyuk (+850 Anytime TD), Deebo (+800 Anytime TD), and Kittle (+900 Anytime TD)“… I argue that their GM knows how to build a pass offense.

McCaffrey (+340 FTS), Kittle (+900), Aiyuk (+850 ATD)

Kansas City Chiefs: The Dynasty

The Chiefs, now six-time Super Bowl attendees, have built nothing short of a dynasty, and as long as 15 is under center, they will be in the Super Bowl conversation. I mean, they were little here in ’21 and ’20, for that matter. Their defense, the second-best in the league, has had teams in a full nelson, holding them under 21 points in seven of their last eight games, including against Lamar’velous Jackson and the Ravens in the Conference Championship. Now when they do that and score more than 21, do the quick maths.

Patrick Mahomes has once again proved he’s the best football player on the less-greening earth. His playoff performances have been nothing short of legendary; even active NFL players talk about him like he’s walking on water. With a projected OU 260.5yd for the Super Bowl, Mahomes is not just aiming to pass the pigskin—he’s looking to keep it, being the most prolific First Down Scramble QB (OU 25.5 Ryds)in the league this year. Sportsbooks, and the savvy, are eyeing his prop odds closely for those willing to bet on what just may be another chapter in Legendary Super Bowl Moments.

Travis Kelce (-120 Anytime TD), or should I say “The Kelces” (shoutout out to T-Swizzle), is a record-setting machine, etching his name into the annals of playoff history with more receptions than any receiver to grace the postseason, besting the great Jerry Rice. His conference championship performance—11 receptions, 116 yards, and a touchdown—was a testament to his status as the G-TE-OAT. As Kelce goes, so too does the soul of this Chiefs offense, with sports bettors eagerly seeking his First TD Scorer (+650) odds and the bravest whispering Kelce 2+ TD (+475).

Props to Watch

Mahomes 25+ Alt Rush Yards (-125),  Mahomes  275+ Alt Passing yards (+130), Kelce 80+ Rec yards(+140), Pacheco 70+ Rush Yards (+110)
