The NBA Christmas Day lineup tips off with the Bucks visiting the Knicks. We all know any significant win for New York is equivalent to an NBA Championship in their heads, ya heard. Regardless of their past 20 seasons of trashness, they’re rebuild seems to be paying dividends this season. All this would matter if they weren’t playing against Giannias and Dame Lillard. Bucks ML.
Golden State Warriors @ Denver Nuggets
- Time: 2:30 PM ET
- Watch: ESPN/ABC
- Our Pick: DEN Nuggets
The Warriors are struggling, they seem to be an aging team and someone’s been writing on the wall. That someone seems to be Draymond as of late, whose recent in-game antics have earned a couple of suspensions just a couple of months into the season. One has to wonder if we’re live-streaming the end of the Golden State dynasty. Jokic is going to be the MVP frontrunner every year for the next decade, and he’ll prove it come Christmas.
Boston Celtics @ Los Angeles Lakers
- Time: 5:00 PM ET
- Watch: ABC/ESPN
- Our Pick: LA Lakers
The Celtics are a top 2 team in the East, and to most, not 2. They were favorites to win the IST, but fell pretty short of expectations. LA, on the other hand, won the IST and has since been rolling. Austin Reaves looks like an All-Star whilst coming off the bench, AD looks like the dude Lebron thought he was recruiting, and LeBron is, well, he’s a LeBron James. Lakers in 1.
Philadelphia 76ers @ Miami Heat
- Time: 8:00 PM ET
- Watch: ESPN
- Our Pick: PHI 76ers
The 76ers are 15-7 the season… a remarkable turnaround after the departure of James Harden. Regardless of how you feel about James, he left big shoes (he was expected) to fill and Tyrese Maxey seems to wear them just fine. Playoff Jimmy is still a ways off. Sixers, money line.
Dallas Mavericks @ Phoenix Suns
- Time: 10:30 PM ET
- Watch: ESPN
- Our Pick: LA Lakers
Atop the Christmas Game tree and sitting third in the West, the Mavericks, led by Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, are poised to take on the eighth-seeded Suns. Phoenix is lagging in the conference and sits four games back despite the firepower of Devin Booker and the strategic prowess of Kevin Durant. The tea of the game will be Irving vs. former teammate KD, so expect them both to go off for 30+ PRA and a tight game.
