H2: Storylines

H3: Florida State

In 2022, Florida State experienced a roller-coaster season, starting with a four-game winning streak, followed by three losses, and then securing another six consecutive victories. They’re poised to be among the top contenders for the ACC title this season, especially with only three teams from the conference currently ranked. Clinching the conference championship could be their ticket to the playoffs. Quarterback Jordan Travis was impressive in 2022, establishing himself as one of the standout quarterbacks to watch this season. If he maintains that momentum, the Seminoles are set for success.

H3: Clemson

Clemson is coming off a down season, and after making the College Football Playoff in six consecutive seasons, they have now missed the past two. A significant change was made towards the end of the last season; long-time quarterback DJ Uiagalelei had some inconsistencies, leading to former top high school prospect Cade Klubnik starting their final two games. Klubnik will be under center in Week 1. If this offense performs well, then Clemson could be one of the most balanced teams in the country, given their top 20-scoring defense last season.

H2: Prediction

Last year’s matchup between Clemson and Florida State was exciting, with Clemson nearly giving up a 20-point fourth-quarter lead but managing to leave Tallahassee with a win. Florida State is set to have one of the more exhilarating offenses this season, and Travis played well against this defense last year. Unlike like last year they will remain competitive through the matchup and come away with a big in-conference win.

We suggest Florida State (+3) vs. Clemson
