Storylines

LSU

LSU had a great first season under Brian Kelly, going 10-4 and winning the SEC West. The Associated Press already ranks the Tigers as one of the top teams this season, placing them at No. 5, just one spot shy of the four-team playoff. Quarterback Jayden Daniels excelled in his first year as a quarterback after transferring and threw for a career-high 2,913 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Florida State

Florida State had an up-and-down 2022 season, winning its first four games, losing the next three, and then closing the season with six straight wins. They are considered one of the favorites to win the ACC this season, a conference that currently has only three ranked teams. Quarterback Jordan Travis had a monstrous 2022 campaign, which helped him become one of the more notable quarterbacks coming into this season. If he can replicate the same production, the Seminoles will succeed.

Prediction

This was a tight and exciting game last season with LSU coming back in the fourth quarter, but ultimately lost 24-23 when they missed the extra point. This has all the makings of another exciting matchup, but ultimately FSU comes with the better offense, and Jordan Travis will have the ability to make a few more extra plays and pull off the win.

We suggest LSU (-2.5) vs. Florida State (Over/Under 58.5 -110/-110).
