As good as Cagliari have been at home, winning six of the last seven, they have been equally woeful on the road.
Away from the Sardegna Arena they have won just twice in 16 attempts this season which makes them the fourth worst side on their travels in Serie A.
Roloando Maran will be well aware of this problem but, as yet, has been unable to find a solution. The 4-4-2 diamond he deployed against Torino in their last game saw them look solid and the 3-0 win at Chievo was also based on this system. Luca Gigarini protected the defence well while, star man, Nicolo Barella was given licence to get forward.
Roma, however, are not Cheivo and will have a lot more attacking threat for the Rossoblu to worry about. They will make things hard for Ranieri’s side while looking to hit them on the break but given the difficulties they might find this far more challenging to pull off.
