As well as the hosts, seasoned international opposition in Hungary and Switzerland mean it will be a tough task to qualify from <a href=\"https:\/\/betting.com\/gb\/uefa-euro\/group-a\">Group A<\/a>.However, the Scots deservedly beat Spain in their qualifying campaign and are capable of causing any team problems. Midfielders John McGinn and Scott McTomminay are quality players, however, the great strength of Clarke\u2019s side is the fact that they are greater than the sum of their parts. A reality check possibly game in the return match against the Spanish in qualifying where they lost 2-0 and a 3-1 home defeat to England, which shows that they still have some way to go. However, they are a dangerous side who are capable of upsetting the odds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since qualification, however, Clarke\u2019s side have struggled to get results. The latest round of friendlies saw a heavy defeat to the Netherlands, where the Scot\u2019s more open, attacking approach was exposed and a disappointing home defeat to Northern Ireland. However, Clarke has done an excellent job and will be determined to find the right formula ahead of the finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"switzerland\">Switzerland<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Switzerland were quarter finalists at the last Euros and also reached the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup. They are a good side with tournament experience. However, their qualifying campaign saw them come through in second place to Romania. However, they come into the tournament in need of building some momentum. They made a great start to qualifying but rather limped over the line with draws against Belarus, Israel and Kosovo, and a loss to Romania. Their tournament pedigree means that they cannot be discounted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Swiss began their preparations for the tournament with a goalless draw with Denmark and a 1-0 win over the Republic of Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"prediction\">Prediction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Switzerland are probably favourites to win at this stage.
