Wales and the USA meet for just the third time ever in men’s international football.
It is the first competitive clash between the two nations, with Wales appearing in just their second ever World Cup.
Under Gregg Berhalter, the USA have bounced back from the disappointment of failing to qualify for the 2018 tournament with an exciting core of young players led by Chelsea star Christian Pulisic.
Wales remain dependent on their group of tournaments veterans in Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen.

Eight of the USA’s 12 matches in 2022 have had two or fewer goals. Wales have seen under 2.5 land in four of their last eight – their defence leaked goals in the Nations League, and the attack has not exactly been blowing teams away.
Rob Page’s team have scored two goals in a match just once since March.
It might be the opening fixture for both teams, but there is a lot to play for here.
With Iran expected to struggle and England clearly the strongest team in the section, this could prove to be a playoff for the second qualification spot. Both managers will be cagey, leading to a low-scoring match.
To Be Shown A Card: Ethan Ampadu
Booked three times in 10 Serie A starts this term after receiving 15 cards in 26 starts last season, Ethan Ampadu is great value to be booked on Monday.
Ampadu was booked in each of his last two Wales appearances, and is never afraid to commit to tackles.
Forced to deal with the mazy dribbling of Chelsea teammate Christian Pulisic, look for Ampadu to make a rash tackle or two and end up in the referee’s notebook.
Anytime Goalscorer: Christian Pulisic
With Ampadu set for a tough time against Pulisic, it is fitting to look at the Pennsylvania native as an option in the anytime goalscorer market.
Pulisic is only three caps removed from an international hat-trick, and has 21 goals in 52 appearances for the Stars and Stripes.
