After recording a fourth successive win in the Premier League, the balance of power has shifted over to the white half of North London and with Tottenham now clear in 4th place, that is a position they will look to still own at the final day of the season.
While Tottenham must also lend a huge thanks to Brighton and after Graham Potter masterminded an away win at Arsenal last weekend, he will now look to earn himself and the Seagulls a quickfire double on the road.

With four successive league wins in their back pocket, Tottenham will now be looking for a fifth and with them playing hours before Arsenal on Saturday, they also have the opportunity to ratchet up the pressure further.
Something that I have taken into consideration when looking at the latest Premier League odds before the weekend and although Brighton scored twice in their previous outing, I think they will struggle on Saturday.
Which means a Tottenham win at home to nil, is something that has taken my interest and if you think that this will also be the case, you can join me in backing Antonio Conte’s men at odds of 3/2 (Betfair) .
Although Tottenham took an early lead at Aston Villa, they then had to weather an incredible storm for the rest of the first half and in previous times, an early lead would have been converted into a deficit at the interval.
Then again, these are new times within the N17 postcode and with that Villa Park deluge eventually dealt with, Tottenham went up through the gears to record their fourth league win from four outings.
Because since their 3-2 reverse to Manchester United at Old Trafford, Spurs have simply not looked back and after earning 12 points from the last 12 on offer, they have also leapfrogged Arsenal in the process.
Not to mention the small fact of Harry Kane’s lack of goals and although this would have also been an issue in recent years, the load has now been shared throughout the rest of his Tottenham teammates.
Something that will be music to the ears of Tottenham supporters and with them no longer just the “Harry Kane team”, there is a considerable amount of optimism for how things finish up at the end of the season.
In terms of injuries and suspensions for the visit of Brighton, there is more injury woe for manager Antonio Conte to deal with and with Matt Doherty out for the rest of the season, he joins Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga as long-term absentees.
Going into last weekend’s trip to Arsenal, not many people would have given Brighton a hope of even earning a point and with just one earned from the previous 21 on offer, why would you have such a feeling?
Then again, the beauty of the Premier League is that it has the potential to throw up surprises such as the one seen at the Emirates and with Graham Potter’s men earning a 2-1 win over Arsenal, it has gone some way to arresting the Seagull’s slide down the table.
A slide that saw Brighton slip out of the top-ten of the Premier League and ask questions about Potter’s management style, if only because the Seagulls had previously scored only once in 630 minutes of Premier League football.
In fairness, that stretch of one goal in seven games was largely down to a true focal point in attack and with the return of Enock Mwepu giving Brighton a huge boost last weekend, it is no surprise that his input helped the team’s fortunes.
Now though, Brighton must build on the impressive showing last Saturday and with the middle tier of the Premier League table being so compact, a top half finish is now back on their agenda.
In terms of injuries and suspensions for the trip to Tottenham, there are no new concerns for manager Graham Potter to deal with. Then again, there are still three players who are out injured, and this means Tudor Baluta, Adam Webster and Jakub Moder will be unavailable on Saturday.
When it comes to the history of these two sides, it is Tottenham who have had the lion’s share of success, and this was recently evident when they got the better of Brighton at The AMEX Stadium.
With that being said, Brighton have managed to get the better of Spurs in recent times and will be hoping that fortune favours them this Saturday lunchtime.
In terms of their overall head-to-head record, Tottenham have won on 18 occasions, Brighton 8 and there have been 8 draws.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium opened in 2019 and holds up to 62,062 supporters
A stadium that took years of planning and legal wrangling to complete, but one that was certainly worth the wait and with this being a venue that also stages NFL and Rugby matches, sport is not the only entertainment on offer either.
Because this is a location that now also hosts music concerts and with all this additional revenue coming into the club, it means Tottenham will soon have a considerable amount of money to spend in the transfer market.
When it comes to the Premier League outright odds for a top-four finish, Tottenham’s would have only shrunk further after last Saturday’s win and therefore, they must be given huge consideration in this market.
While for Brighton, the only real market of interest to them right now is the top-ten finish and if they can earn six points from two successive trips to North London, their odds will subsequently shorten.
