Liverpool vs Norwich in the Premier League on Feb 19. 2022 - Odds & Prediction

Liverpool vs Norwich in the Premier League on Feb 19. 2022 - Odds & Prediction

After both Manchester City and Liverpool picked up wins at the weekend, it is a case of as you were in the race for the Premier League title and with the former getting the better of Norwich, it is now time for the latter to take their turn.

With Norwich being comprehensively beaten by Pep Guardiola’s men and results going against them elsewhere, it means life in the relegation zone has got all the more difficult for the Canaries.

Liverpool Win And Over 3.5 Goals

Looking across the best betting sites in preparation for the weekend, all signs clearly indicate a Liverpool win at the weekend and although that will likely be the case, it will not offer much in the way of value.

Which means, I will have to dig a little deeper into the available markets, in order to find a bet that will first be a winner and secondly offer a decent amount of profitability. Thankfully though, I think I have found it.

Because with Liverpool’s attacking prowess being one that is clear for all to see, backing them to win and a total of over 3.5 goals being scored at Anfield is a lot more tempting. Especially when the odds are currently at evens with Sportnation which means there is no better time to double your money.

Liverpool Form, squad news, opinion

With Manchester City making light work of Norwich last weekend, it was very much over to you Liverpool and although their win over Burnley may not have been the prettiest, it did at least generate maximum points.

A victory which means that Liverpool have now won their last four Premier League outings and by winning their own encounters, all they can do is hope that Manchester City slip up on several banana skins.

Because although Liverpool have been perfect in recent times, so have their nearest rivals and you get the feeling that although the red machine is moving at a considerable pace, the light blue version simply cannot be caught.

However, there is still plenty of Premier League football still to be played this season - not to mention the fact that the top two still have to face each other and when you consider the fact that Liverpool also possess a game in hand, it is arguably all to play for.

Which is why Liverpool can only take matters one Premier League outing at a time and although Norwich may not pose the biggest threat, Jurgen Klopp and his players will need to show the Canaries the respect they deserve.

In terms of injuries and suspensions for the visit of Norwich, there are no new injuries for manager Jurgen Klopp to be concerned about and this means that only Divock Origi will be unavailable at the weekend.

Norwich Form, squad news, opinion

After picking up seven points from nine on offer, there were signs of resurgence for Norwich. Unfortunately for them, their plight has worsened two-fold in the last few days and now they find themselves deep in the relegation mix.

Because although they picked up seven points from those three matches, their resurgence was then brought to a shuddering halt on Saturday, as they lost 4-0 at home to Manchester City.

While in addition to that, Newcastle have managed to pick up 11 points from their last five Premier League outings and this means, it is the Canaries and not the Magpies that now find themselves in the bottom three.

Which means that things are starting to look a little worse for Norwich right now and although the race for relegation has arguably seen some more entrants added to the mix in recent times, one wonders if Norwich can bridge the gap to them.

Because once again, it is that combination of a lack of goals at one end and too many conceded at the other which has been the undoing of Dean Smith’s men and although Saturday’s trip to Anfield is a free hit, the last thing they need is another heavy defeat to their name.

In terms of injuries and suspensions for the trip to Liverpool, manager Dean Smith has no concerns before the trip to Anfield and this means the Norwich squad will be at full strength for the weekend.

When it comes to the history of these two clubs, it is Liverpool who have come out on top more often than not. However, Norwich will remember a famous win here in 1994, as Jeremy Goss scored the last ever goal at the traditional Kop end.

In terms of their overall head-to-head record, Liverpool have won on 39 occasions, Norwich 14 and there have been 15 draws

About the Venue

When it comes to historic football venues within English football, they do not get any more revered than Anfield and with this ground being the home of many legends, the current crop are also playing their way into football folklore.

With COVID-19 restrictions being lifted in England, it means there is no longer the need to show a Vaccine Passport before attending the ground. Which means, match tickets are the only item that is required to be produced at the time of writing.

A look at the current Premier League outright odds, would suggest that there is not a great deal of confidence in Liverpool to win the title and although they are fearsome right now, Manchester City just have a little more fright within them.

Which means all Liverpool can do is keep knocking at the Etihad door and although they may not have all the answers to Pep Guardiola’s questions, they should be able to make light work of Norwich on Saturday.
