With a scintillating showing on Tuesday now in the history books, Liverpool will be in the mood for more and although Everton are showing signs of recovery, this is going to spell bad news for the blue half of Merseyside.

While that positivity has likely come from Burnley’s decision to sack Sean Dyche and with the Clarets having little or nothing in the way of a succession plan, this is something that played largely into Everton’s hands.

Of course, when it comes to hands it may also feel that Frank Lampard is currently working with one behind his back at times and now, he must also remove the shackles that his Everton players currently have attached to them.
