After securing safe passage to this season’s FA Cup final, Chelsea at least ended last week on a high and with the Blues being dumped out of the Champions League just days before, it means that some form of silverware is still up for grabs next month.
A situation that Arsenal will once again fail to find themselves in and with the Gunners also failing to get the better of Southampton at the weekend, they missed a huge opportunity to close the gap on rivals Tottenham.

With this being one of the more feistier London derbies, there will be no love lost when Chelsea play host to Arsenal on Wednesday and this is something that I have taken into consideration when looking at the biggest and best betting sites.
Because with Chelsea having won their last two outings in both league and cup, they will be in much better form than an Arsenal side that has lost each of their last three Premier League matches.

There was almost a double victory for Chelsea across the weekend and with both Tottenham and Arsenal losing their respective Premier League outings, it solidified the Blues’ standing in the table.
A pair of results that all but secures a 3rd place finish for Chelsea and perhaps more importantly, secures a return to the Champions League after their quarter-final exit to Real Madrid last week.
While the celebrations would not have stopped there for Thomas Tuchel’s men and after eventually getting the better of Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final, it means another trip to Wembley is on the horizon.
A trip that will end up being their third of the season and with them being paired against fellow Carabao Cup finalists Liverpool, the Stamford Bridge outfit will look to exact revenge on the Merseyside men.
Of course, a plot for revenge cannot take place until next month and before all of that, they must deal with their London rivals and with the Gunners desperately needing a win, this should be a fascinating clash in the capital.
While there is never a good time to hit bad form, finding bad form at the end of the season is arguably the worst time of all and with Arsenal suffering three successive Premier League defeats, this is exactly what has happened to them.
While the third of their defeats would have only hurt even more and with Tottenham losing earlier that same Saturday afternoon, it also gave the Gunners the perfect opportunity to close the gap between their rivals and themselves.
A gap that before kick-off at St Mary’s stood at three points and by the final whistle, it stayed at three points, as once again a blunt Arsenal attack failed to land a glove on the opposition defenders.
In the last three league outings that Arsenal have made, they have scored once and conceded six and although their attack has come under scrutiny, the team as a whole must also come in for some criticism.
While with this being such a pivotal week in the race for a top-four finish, it will be interesting to see what Mikel Arteta’s men can achieve against both the Blues in midweek and Manchester United at the weekend.
When it comes to the history of Chelsea and Arsenal, it is the Gunners who have come out on top more often than not and with these two constantly looking to be the kings of London, their local rivalry will produce another battle on Tuesday.
Stamford Bridge opened in 1877 and holds up to 40,853 supporters.
Although there have been plans to expand the capacity of Stamford Bridge, these plans have run into countless issues and with both funding and spare land being an issue, Chelsea’s home ground has stayed at just over 40,000 when it comes to capacity.
While with Chelsea's ownership status also up in the air, it may well be down to new owners to solve this issue and if the next owner has rather deep pockets, even a new ground could eventually be built for the Blues.
When it comes to the Premier League odds for the top-four, Chelsea seem a near certainty for such a finish and especially after their two nearest challengers failed to earn any points at the weekend.
