After getting the better of Watford last Saturday, Brentford have all but officially secured survival this season and in doing so, have landed a second successive stint in the Premier League.
While to celebrate, they will welcome the visit of Tottenham on Saturday and after Antonio Conte’s men lost to Brighton earlier that same day, they will now look to return to winning ways on Saturday.
Continue reading for our full match preview and expert football betting tips.
With Tottenham potentially starting this encounter lying 5th in the Premier League table, it will only add more of a wakeup call after the weekend before and this could mean bad news for Brentford.
When you consider how quiet Tottenham were in attack last Saturday, Antonio Conte is certainly going to want a lot more this coming weekend and this is something that I have considered when looking for a top tip.

Five wins from their last six Premier League outings, that has been the tale of Brentford’s tape recently and with such an impressive run of results behind them, they have pulled well clear of the relegation zone.
An area of the table that looked ready to consume them and in doing so, return them to the EFL Championship at the first time of asking. However, one single Danish man would make sure that this did not happen.
That is not to discredit the work that manager Thomas Frank has done before, but there is no doubt that his compatriot Christian Eriksen has been the key component of Brentford’s revival in fortune.
While Eriksen’s return to full fitness has undoubtedly been a fairy-tale within football and although even Tottenham fans have been delighted to see his talents once more, they will want a little less of that this weekend.
Then again, maybe Brentford might just take their foot off the gas, now that they have reached the hallowed ground of Premier League survival and if they do, this will play into Tottenham’s hands.
April 16th, 2.30pm - disaster for Tottenham. April 16th - 5.00pm - damage limitation for Tottenham and because of Southampton’s surprise win over Arsenal, it means things are unchanged in the race for the top-four.
Well at least they are before the start of the midweek fixtures and even if Arsenal do manage to get the better of Chelsea, it would still put Spurs in 4th before the start of this weekend’s round of Premier League action.
Then again, Arsenal may have been handed something of an advantage, as they and Manchester United play before Tottenham’s trip to Brentford and if the Gunners can pick up at least four points from the six on offer, it will be Spurs who drop to 5th.
Of course, with the Premier League results panning out as they did last Saturday, it means that the top-four race is still very much in Tottenham’s hands and the picture could be a lot clearer by the time Chelsea play Arsenal on Wednesday.
However, Tottenham are coming off the back of a defeat and although they have dealt with wake-up calls in the past, they surely cannot have any more slip ups between now and the end of the season.
When it comes to the history of Brentford and Tottenham, it is visitors who have come out on top more often than not and with just one previous meeting between the pair in the Premier League, it was Tottenham who ran out 2-0 winners back in December of last year.
The Brentford Community Stadium opened in 2020 and holds up to 18,250 supporters
With the Brentford Community Stadium opening only two years ago, the Premier League’s newest members also play their football at the Premier League’s newest stadium and on the first night in the competition, Bees’ supporters would be treated to a memorable evening.
One that saw Thomas Frank’s men get the better of Arsenal and with Brentford recording a 2-0 win in front of their own supporters, it was a result that announced their arrival in English football’s top flight.
When it comes to the Premier League odds, suddenly Brentford look appealing from a top-ten finish point of view and with the form that they are currently in, this looks like being a rather solid bet.
