Leicester v Man City Betting Tips & Predictions

Manchester City are 6/19 favourites for their Premier League clash with a resurgent Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

Manchester City drew with Borussia Dortmund in midweek, seeing both Erling Haaland and Joao Cancelo removed at half-time. The pair are doubts for this game, while England internationals Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips are long-term absentees.

Leicester have broken out of their woeful start to the season to pull themselves above the relegation zone, winning three of five in the Premier League.

Both Teams To Score: Yes

5/6 (Betway)

Both teams have scored in seven of Leicester’s 12 league matches. Their defence has zero chance of keeping Manchester City out, even if Haaland doesn’t play, and their attack has begun to finish chances with six goals scored in their last two matches.

City have just one clean sheet in their last four away league matches.

Both teams to score is generally a good way to go when Brendan Rodgers is involved.

Total Corners: Under 10.5

8/11 (Boyle Sports)

Leicester’s matches average 8.4 corners. Manchester City’s average just 7.6, the second-lowest mark in the Premier League.

This total corners line seems high as a result, even though the last three meetings have gone over this number.

This will be an open game, with Leicester unafraid to commit bodies forward when they win possession. The controlled nature of City’s play doesn’t always lend itself to a lot of corner kicks, though, and Leicester might not have many opportunities in City’s third.

Anytime Goalscorer: Jamie Vardy

33/10 (Unibet)

Scorer of nine goals against Manchester City, Jamie Vardy’s ultra-direct style of play has been a nuisance for Pep Guardiola’s team over the years.

Vardy should be handed a start here after scoring in the win over Wolves last weekend. City, as ever, will push high up the pitch, giving the former England international space to attack.

At this price, Vardy is a great bet to get on the scoresheet, despite scoring just once in 638 league minutes.
