Leeds v Chelsea Betting Tips & Predictions

Chelsea are odds-on favourites for their trip to Elland Road to face Leeds in the Premier League on Super Sunday.

Coming off a ferocious London derby with Tottenham, Chelsea are preparing to face another old rival in the shape of Leeds on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues did the double over the Yorkshire club last season, but they were held to a goalless draw at Elland Road two seasons ago.

Leeds have started the 2022-23 campaign with a win over Wolves and a draw with Southampton.

Winner: Chelsea

6/10 (William Hill)

Chelsea were impressive against Tottenham, dominating the majority of the match. Thomas Tuchel’s side are still lacking a bit of cutting edge, but the interchange of Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling caused problems for Spurs’ defence, while their wing backs were very effective.

Despite a couple of positive results, Leeds’ defence hasn’t exactly been formidable. They are in the bottom half in expected goals against and only four teams have allowed more shots.

Chelsea’s attack should be able to create enough to take all three points.

Corners: Chelsea Over 6.5

11/10 (Unibet)

Chelsea had 16 corners against Everton and eight more at home to Spurs. Much of this match is going to be played in Leeds’ half, with Chelsea forced into crosses from their wing backs and speculative shots.

Overlaps from Marc Cucurella and Reece James are prime opportunities to earn corners with Leeds closing down to stop the ball into the box.

The west London club had the third-most corners in 2021-22 – this is a good price on over 6.5.

Last Goalscorer: Raheem Sterling

11/2 (Paddy Power)

Leeds are not going to sit as deep as some teams, but space could still be hard to come by for Raheem Sterling.

His chances will come if Chelsea take a lead. Leeds will be forced to chase the game in front of a fired-up home crowd, leaving the visitors room to attack on the break. This is when Sterling can be his most dangerous.

The England international is decent value to seal the victory for Chelsea late on.
