Brighton v Spurs Betting Tips & Predictions

Tottenham are narrow 17/10 favourites for their trip to Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday night.

Brighton put in a stellar performance in Roberto De Zerbi’s first match in charge last weekend, drawing 3-3 with Liverpool at Anfield.

The Seagulls are just three points behind Spurs with a game in hand after Spurs lost to Arsenal last weekend.

Antonio Conte’s side have just one win in their last four matches, and are set to be without Lucas Moura, Dejan Kulusevski, Emerson Royal and Japhet Tanganga for this fixture. Jakub Moder is the only confirmed absentee for the hosts.

Double Chance: Brighton Or Draw

8/15 (SportNation)

Brighton are undefeated in three home league matches, having beaten Leeds and Leicester in their last two. The run is seven unbeaten in front of their own fans stretching into last season. Spurs, meanwhile, have won just once in six away matches in all competitions this season.

A win over Manchester United and a draw with Liverpool prove that Brighton can battle with teams supposedly far more talented. There was no sign of a drop-off with De Zerbi at the helm instead of Graham Potter.

Both Teams To Score: Yes

7/10 (Bet365)

Both teams have scored in six of Spurs’ eight league matches. It is four of seven for Brighton, and the south-coast club conceded three to Liverpool last time out. While Spurs’ attack hasn’t been at its best of late, they will still create chances against this defence.

Tottenham’s defence hasn’t exactly been lock-tight. They are only mid-table by expected goals conceded with 9.7, while Brighton have only failed to score once in 2022-23. A goal-fest is unlikely, but both teams scoring is still a good wager.

Total Corners: Under 10.5

7/10 (BetVictor)

Both of these teams rank below league average in total corners per match. Only four teams concede fewer than Spurs, and Brighton average only 4.3 corners against per fixture, which comes in 0.7 below the league-wide mark.

In what should be a competitive and congested match, corners are going to be infrequent. Both teams should have a relatively low shot total here, and the match could become bogged down in midfield.
