Match Odds: Draw
England lost 1-0 to Hungary in their Nations League opener last week, before sneaking a 1-1 draw in Germany on Tuesday.
Italy are top of League A Group three, having drawn 1-1 with Germany in their opening game before beating Hungary 2-1.
But Roberto Mancini’s side, who missed out on qualifying for the 2022 World Cup just months after winning the Euros on penalties, started this international break by being thrashed 3-0 by Argentina in Finalissima.
Despite being favourites to win the game, England’s record against Italy is poor.
The Three Lions have won none of the last seven competitive meetings between the two nations, with three of the last four ending in draws.
That could become four in five on Saturday.
Both Teams to Score: Yes
England have scored in 15 of their last 16 matches, with last week’s loss to Hungary the only exception.
Gareth Southgate’s side have typically conceded goals against sterner opposition this season, doing so against Poland, Hungary (twice), Switzerland and Germany respectively.
The same is true of Italy, with both teams scoring in their games against Bulgaria, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Turkey, Germany and Hungary.
Anytime Goalscorer: Harry Kane
Harry Kane is one of the few players happy to be playing these Nations League fixtures, as he hunts down Wayne Rooney’s all-time England goalscoring record.
Kane is on 50 goals, three behind Rooney, after netting 12 in his previous 10 internationals.
To Score a Penalty: England
England have been awarded five penalties in 11 matches this season, with Kane scoring all five of them.
