Manchester City host RB Leipzig with the tie finely balanced after a 1-1 draw in the first leg. Riyad Mahrez have given City a first half lead after Pep Guardiola’s side had dominated possession. However, Leipzig came on strong after the break and Josko Gvardiol grabbed a deserved equaliser.
With home advantage, City will be favourites to progress, however Leipzig showed in the first leg that they have the potential to make it an uncomfortable night for the current tournament favourites.
Both sides won at the weekend, an Erling Haaland penalty being enough for City to see off Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, while Leipzig had a comfortable 3-0 home win over Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Fourteen-time European Champions Real Madrid host six-time winners Liverpool in this round of sixteen second leg match. Liverpool have had something of a resurgence lately, however, after making a positive start against Los Blancos, were simply blown away.
Few would expect Madrid to slip up, they go into the second leg at the Bernabeu three goals up. But Liverpool know a thing or two about comebacks in this competition and will be looking to put in a morale boosting performance if nothing else. It would not be out the ordinary for Liverpool to manage a win on the night, but not by the three goal margin required to take the tie to extra-time.
Since the first leg Madrid have had a frustrating time of it. In the league they were held to draws against City rivals Atletico and Real Betis. They also lost at home to Barcelona in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final. However, a 3-1 win over Espanyol on Saturday has got Carlo Ancelloti’s side back on track. They reamin nine points behind Barcelona in the title race.
Liverpool, by contrast, have climbed the table, though fears that Klopp’s side no longer have the consistency of previous seasons surfaced with an away defeat to struggling Bournemouth on Saturday. Their run of positive results included a sensational 7-0 victory over in-form Manchester United at Anfield. A visit to the Bernabeu will be a major test of their credentials.
