Jurgen Klopp’s team were held to a draw in the Merseyside derby on Saturday, however, and have taken just nine of a possible 18 points so far.

Only three teams average more corners than Napoli in Serie A. Their mark of 2.8 corners against per match is third lowest in the league.
While Napoli will dominate this match in the same way they do domestically, their style of play is conducive to winning corners, and they will surely focus on playing down the wings to target Liverpool’s full backs. Liverpool are joint-top in corner tally in the Premier League so far, but even Klopp’s team will have to absorb some pressure on Wednesday night.
To Be Shown A Card: Joe Gomez
Joe Gomez appears to be Klopp’s preferred option alongside Virgil van Dijk at the moment. Gomez has looked uncertain at points, and can struggle in one-on-one matchups. Wednesday presents a major challenge in Victor Osimhen, one of the best strikers in Serie A.
Osimhen can use his frame to bully defenders. He can get centre backs running towards their own goal with direct dribbling or make pitch-stretching runs in behind.
Of all Liverpool players, Gomez is the biggest card risk against this Napoli team.
