Man City v Sevilla Betting Tips & Predictions

Already confirmed as winners of Group G, Manchester City are 4/17 favourites over struggling Sevilla for their Champions League contest on Wednesday night.

Erling Haaland remains out for Manchester City, who beat Leicester 1-0 at the weekend.

Pep Guardiola is going to shuffle his pack for this dead rubber, while Sevilla also have nothing to play for with their return to the Europa League already locked in.

Jorge Sampaoli’s team are teetering above the relegation zone in La Liga and have just two wins from eight away matches this season. City have won all of their home matches, many of those victories have been emphatic.

Half Time/Full Time: Man City/Man City

3/4 (Coral)

City have had their slip ups this season, but not at the Etihad. They have been dominant, leading at half-time in each of their last four and six of eight overall.

The defending Premier League champions were winning at half-time and full-time when they played in Seville on matchday one.

They are a good bet to repeat that on Wednesday.

First Goalscorer: Julian Alvarez

15/4 (Unibet)

Deputising for Erling Haaland up top, Julian Alvarez comes into this match with four goals to his name across 644 minutes this term.

Sevilla were dismantled 4-0 by City on matchday one, and even with key players set to rest, Guardiola’s team should create a lot of chances on Wednesday night.

Alvarez is far from Haaland’s calibre, but he has shown instinct in the final third and will no doubt have the ball put on a plate for him more than once.

Both Teams To Score: Yes

Evens (Unibet)

Sevilla have only failed to score away from home once this season. They got off nine shots away to Real Madrid in their last away match and matched that tally when they faced Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park.

City’s defence has churned out clean sheets of late, but they will be vulnerable on the break at times, and could be shakier with a different mix of personnel.
