Frankfurt v Spurs Betting Tips & Predictions

Despite a poor performance and defeat at the weekend, Tottenham are 6/5 favourites for their Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt at the Waldstadion on Tuesday night.

Spurs were outplayed in their defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, but the fixtures are coming thick and fast prior to the World Cup.

Antonio Conte’s team are straight back in action in a high-stakes Champions League fixture. With three points from two matches, defeat here would put the north London club under massive pressure.

Frankfurt also have a win and a loss in the section so far after victory away to Marseille last time out. The Bundesliga outfit won the Europa League last season, knocking out West Ham in the process.

This is the first time they have faced Spurs in a competitive match since 1981-82.

Winner: Tottenham

6/5 (SportNation)

Frankfurt are on a good run at the moment, including a win over league-leading Union Berlin at the weekend. This isn’t going to be an easy fixture for Tottenham, but this is certainly a match they can win.

As the betting markets indicate, the away side are the superior of the two.

Conte has had his issues in the Champions League, but Spurs will be highly motivated to put in an improved performance after their disappointed at the Emirates.

Total Goals: Under 2.5

11/10 (Unibet)

Under 2.5 has cashed in both of Spurs’ Champions League matches. It has hit in three of Frankfurt’s last four matches in all competitions.

With the group delicately poised through two matchdays, neither manager will want to take too many risks here.

A low-scoring match looks likely, making the 11/10 price good value.

To Be Shown A Card: Yves Bissouma

21/10 (Bet365)

Yves Bissouma has been booked twice in just 155 Premier League minutes. Conte is expected to hand the former Brighton man a start on Tuesday evening as he looks to reinforce the middle third.

Never afraid to stick his foot in for a tackle, Bissouma has a relatively high foul count since moving to English football.

Cards haven’t been plentiful in Frankfurt’s two Champions League games to date, yet there is still value on Bissouma to be shown a card.
